Aug. 15, 2018 – It was a memorable first, first day of school for our Dr. Diana Greene, as she spent the start of the 2018-2019 school year visiting students, teachers and staff as the district’s newest superintendent.
The three-school tour kicked off at Mamie Agnes Jones Elementary, the very place Greene began her own career as an educator more than 30 years ago. Her next stop saw her putting on an apron and gloves as she helped serve lunch to students at Northwestern Middle.
Finally, the tour concluded at Terry Parker High School, where Greene followed through on a promise to meet a student she met during the superintendent interview process. Watch the video to join Greene on her tour of schools.
