Oct. 7, 2019 – More than 150 colleges and universities from around the nation and the world will be represented at the free National Jacksonville National College Fair on Saturday, Oct. 12.
The event — which serves as the culmination of Jax Goes to College Week — will also feature free seminars and workshops to help students and families prepare for college-going success.

If you are interested in financial aid for college or a career school, you should attend this session. Countdown to College: A Year by Year Plan It is never too early to start thinking about college admissions. Come learn about the main components of the college application process and what you should be doing in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade. Learn about the application form, recommendation forms, application essay, rolling admissions, regular admissions, regular admissions, early decision, early action and other information you need to help you make informed decisions about the application process.

Scholarship Search Tips: Local and National Almost three billion dollars in scholarships is available annually and much of the money goes unclaimed. This session will help you learn how to find, apply for and win scholarship money. This session will also teach you how to identify scholarship scams.

Learn which occupations are projected to offer the most job openings for college graduates who are entering the workforce for the first time.

FAFSA Completion Receive help filling out the FAFSA! Representatives will provide line by line assistance and help students and parents fill out the FAFSA. Students and parents will each need to create their own FSA ID prior to completing the FAFSA.

Bright Futures Scholarship Program The Florida Bright Futures Program establishes three lottery-funded scholarships for Florida high school graduates who demonstrate high academic achievement and enroll in eligible Florida public or private postsecondary institutions. There are three award levels for which high school seniors may qualify: Florida Academic Scholars, Florida Medallion Scholars, and Gold Seal Vocational Scholars. All initial applicants must meet the general requirements for participation in this program and specific requirements for the individual award. This session will help you understand how to qualify for these awards.
