Dec. 4, 2020 – UF Health and DCPS have partnered to bring parents an opportunity to understand mental health and learning disabilities and the role they play in a child’s educational setting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During this virtual roundtable discussion, attendees will hear from DCPS Exceptional Education and Student Services, as well as six UF Health experts, each focusing on a specific medical topic. The conversation will cover strategic ways to cope with COVID-19, learning disabilities and the transition in learning environments.
The goal is to provide parents with accurate information on how they can support their student’s mental health during this unpredictable period.
A “question and answer” session will be provided at the end of the forum where attendees can post questions to the experts about their own circumstances and receive feedback.
The discussion is set to take place on Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. via Zoom. Register for the FREE webinar at https://dcps.duvalschools.org/ParentAcademy.
